Short Message Service (SMS) is a value added service where one can send message via text. You can share your feelings; memorable events with another banglalink mobile without making any phone call. SMS allows you to send and receive text messages from your own banglalink mobile handset to any other banglalink mobile handset. The highest characters of any message are 160.

How to setup your SMS service?
To setup SMS in your handset you have to follow the instructions given below: (Setting option may vary according to your handset brand and model. For assistance, please go through your mobile phone manual.)
In your handset, click Menu and select (Message/ Text Message / Mail)
Select (Settings/ Message Setting / Mail Option)'
Press (OK / Yes / Select) to confirm
Select 'Message Center Number'
Type banglalink's Message Service Center Number +88019900557
Press (OK / Yes / Select) to confirm
Now your SMS is active for use.

Sending SMS
Go to message option of your handset
Select 'Write Message' / 'Create Message'
Write your message
Type your message on the key pad of handset by using associated alphabets/Icons
Press 'Yes' / 'Ok' / 'Send'
Type in the mobile number to whom you wish to send your message (e.g. 019 xxxxxx)
Press 'Yes' / 'OK' / 'Send'
Now your message has been sent successfully.

Charge/fees: Tk. 2 + VAT for each outgoing SMS
